The App Store

Apple and Android both have application databases of their own, through which they sell applications for a variety of purposes. Apple has such an extensive App market that their catchphrase is "there's an app for that"; and they are absolutely correct. There is an app for virtually anything in the App Store. The Android market, while slow at first, but has picked up recently and started to expand their offered apps. Personally, I think that Apple did it right in terms of the app store (amongst many other things), as their app store is extremely vast and simple to operate, where as Android's app store is just now picking up.
While there is as app for almost everything, there is always room for expansion. Apps can most definitely be considered in various fields such as education and healthcare. Teachers and instructors can use apps to exchange information with students, as well as asses their students through apps. This provides sustainability, rather than the provincial use of paper. In the medical field, apps can be used to provide information about medicines- whether they are prescription based, or available over the counter, as well as other information (side effects ect.).
An app store can be used for essentially anything. With the access to technology that we now have, we can use apps for everyday activities. Perhaps in terms of a new app store, alterations could be made to make apps that serve as a platform for communication and interaction. Technology is indeed the way of the future, so it would only make sense for all industries to take advantage of it.
